Under Above, aka Xandor Naus, began his career in music early. Born and raised in the south of the Netherlands, he spent his youth playing at festivals and clubs in the neighborhood. At the age of 18, he started experimenting with dance music. Xandor developed his sound into a combination of dance-pop, house and funk. In the same year, he signed his first publishing deal with BMG-Talpa in the Netherlands.
With releases on 2-Dutch, Storm Music Group, Milkshake and almost 2 million streams on Spotify, Under Above gained a bigger audience in the industry. With ‘Back Around’ (2020), his first big release on Storm Music Group, he gained almost over 600.000 streams on all streaming platforms.
After Xandor graduated in the Minor Dance Industry at Fontys University of Arts in Tilburg, he collaborated with the belgian live-act: Calumny. With their track: ‘Shooting Star’ (2020) they obtained a spot into the editorial Spotify playlists 360 Dance and Hot New Dance. The track was supported by established DJs and dance labels such as Mike Williams, Laidback Luke, Revealed Recordings and Spinnin’ Records.
The biggest milestone for Under Above was a spot between Gorgon City and Shaun Frank at the SLAM Mixmarathon in 2021. Under Above is now focussing on high-quality pop and dance tracks with a solid groove and catchy top-lines. Xandor is searching for a perfect balance between being a high energy house-act on stage and an experienced producer in the studio.
